So much to be Thankful for... November

We celebrated Thanksgiving in Junction with Naunee, Larry, the boys and Lillian's cousin Caitlyn.

No only was this Lillian's First Thanksgiving, but it was Bobbie's (Cole Grandmother) 80th Birthday.

We all enjoyed good quality family time.

Oh and Lillian decided to Roll over for the first time.

Happy Thanksgiving

With our further ado...

I would like to introduce Miss Lillian Lee Brooks.
She was born on Tuesday July 27, 2010 at 8 lbs 5 oz 23” long 2:31 p.m.
We brought her home Thursday the 29th

We had to stay an extra day in the hospital because she had a high Bilirubin score meaning she had Jaundice. Therefore, Cooks home health brought to our home a Biliblanket for her to lay on for three days. This photo therapy treatment helped lower her bilirubin score. It is wonderful to have such technology to help our little one get better.

Cole and I survived her first bath.
Lillian Loves to watch the rangers with her Dad
The Saturday before we celebrated turning 3 weeks old, Lillian began to run a temperature. Cole and I quickly gathered the bare minimum and took her to Cooks Children’s in Downtown Fort Worth. We spent 6 hours in the most efficient ER I have ever experienced. Lillian was admitted for at least 48 hours to rule out many diseases and infections such as meningitis. Fortunately they found the source of her temperature quickly and we made Cooks our home for 6 days to recover from a severe UTI and double kidney infection.

Enough of the sad stuff, we celebrated 1 month of life in style!! I think Cole and I enjoyed it more than she did.
Are you ready for some football? Little Lillian is...
Well, I apologize to my 2 readers for allowing so much time to pass in between posts, but as you can imagine life has been a little hectic! but with much to celebrate here is Miss Lillian at 6 weeks..

Fred Flintstone feet are attractive. Right?

My feet, my poor feet. They stay swollen, and the only thing that seems to reduce their size is Water! Not just drinking alot of water, but soaking them in cool water. That is why on Sunday, I spent the majority of the day swimming in our pool. We got it cleaned out of all the leaves and blooms that have grace themselves in our luxury. All four of us, Hondo, Cole, myself and Lillian swam until we collapsed that night. It was great.

So after our swimming excursion, we wanted to get Hondo’s hair out of the pool, so we turned on the pump to start sucking it out only to find out that all the leaves and crap have clogged our line. Now the pool is green and gross again. Ugh..so, we are waiting on a pool man to come fix us for real.

Thirsty Thursday

Well my idea of Thirsty Thursday has changed quite drastically in the last 7 1/2 months. It use to consist of Cole and I sipping on a few cold ones on our patio. Not just limited to Thursday mind you.

Now, Thirsty Thursday (still not limited to Thursday) consist of my new insulated tumblers filled to the top with ice water.
